Many security departments in Las Vegas have reacted to this tragic event in several ways. For example, in the wake of the mass shooting in Las Vegas, the Nevada Gaming Control Board will step up its presence in casinos statewide, putting undercover security guards inside them. A.G. Burnett, the chair of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, also said it has a task force tracking information related to shooter Stephen Paddock. The board is working closely with Las Vegas Metro Police and FBI on their investigation.
Many people have been posting and sharing their thoughts and prayers for the victims and families through different social media platforms. President Trump and Obama also joined this relay. In this case, social media platforms have been used for the good cause, to share one's thoughts and prayers for this tragic events. This event once again showed that social media platforms can be an effective way to spread the words and get people's attention. (I,myself, also first heard about this tragic event through Instagram, not CNN.) My prayer goes to all the victims' families and people in Vegas who are currently enduring this tragic event.
